Well, its the holidays…
So here are some pictures…
There is still a need for more snow in park city….you know?
Ha, to be 100% honest, I’m sure there is no shortage of “that” kind of snow in Summit county.
I do miss the Mojave….the weather looks nice for new years eve weekend.
58 and sunny.
I need to get back to Its Complicated. I watch about 3 movies a year. If you haven’t seen it, you should. ChrisP and I watched it in Moab together. It was romantic. So, happy holidays if you celebrate it. If not, thats fine too – I’ll bet you still like FZ.

Well, its the holidays…
After putting in 78 hrs this week, its Sunday and most of the tasks are done. VERY busy week at the shop, and it seems in town, and in Salt Lake the weekend before XMess, but that’s just how it goes.
Its hard to stay in the holiday spirit full time when so much goes on. Thats okay, I was plenty happy hanging lights in Santa Clara two weeks ago and watching the Wings last night.
Plus the weather seems conducive to snow bike riding. In a dozen years, I haven’t seen it this thin out this late in the year. The resorts are all open, and they can make snow, but man, I am ready for the nordic center to be open to get my skate on.
I”d like to thank Chris, who found this…
If your wondering what the shop has been up to, we’ve got our first IBIS SLR out the door. Man, its nice. Here is a pic of how to properly install a press fit BB.
And here is the latest pug to roll out the door.
I’m ready to get rad today.
How rad? This rad.
“Great” I can hear you all say.
Well, in Pugsley, Chewey has informed me of Pugsley World Championships. I would like to go. I will not be able to go. Maybe you will?
The holiday season is upon us…
And I’ve completed a very condensed version of the Dharma Wheels Gift Guide.
or HERE for the same link if you are too lazy to cut an paste.
In fun local news, Dharma Wheels is a Charter member of the Park City Gun Club, just a mile down the road from the shop. Get ready to ride and shoot this summer.
55 in St. George tomorrow, maybe you will be there. We’ll be at the shop all day today with appointments. Those of you who need last minute gifts from the shop, we’ll be in Mon-Wed, and Yes, you may come in monday.
The Dharma Wheels shop vehicle rolled back into Park City after a weekend down south with no pressing projects at the shop. We did have sales appointments, we did hang drapes, but there was mostly riding in the Mojave. 55 and sunny style.
Christmas lights were hung…
Small cats were found.
I guess Blackie isn’t so small…We had a Roadrunner on our front porch….here it is in the back.
Then the scouting mission began to get from Santa Clara to Green Valley. It went well. The ATVers looked a little pissed that I was on their trail, but who’s to know for sure.
The Zen trail was nice.
The view from the rim is amazing.
I’m happy to report the Occupy Santa Clara movement is going strong.
There was a bit of service work to do, despite the Red Wings being on…
And we had some classic bikes in the store.
Classy, just like our PO Box.
In all seriousness, this is the picture I’m most glad to see….to protect our investment.
And our ability to bring you the best in the cycling industry for years to come.
There’s a lot going on. There always is.
The forecast for this weekend looks nice. 50′s and sunny for riding in the Mojave.
I’m excited to just go down to ride bikes and hang out.
Maybe I”ll write my advice column?
Or maybe I’ll get some reading done.
There is actually some bike work to be done in Santa Clara…
Well, as the holidaze approach, my goal for this weekend is to also compile a list of gift items at all price ranges. We get many questions every year about the BEST gifts to give cyclists….because the cyclist on your list doesn’t need another multitool….especially if the crappy one they already have is better than the gift one. There is a laundry list of items I”ll catalog to make the riding experience better. Because DOG knows, when you go down this winter or spring for that big, first, mountain bike trip….and your tubes blow out, or your tires don’t seal because the stans is dried up, or your hydration pack leaks, or your pack-pump seals blow, or your brakes pads are worn out, or your feet are cold, or your multi-tool is in your other saddle bag, or your big-air is out of air, or your tires are worn, or you forgot to bring fuel, or your cell phone gets wet, or your floorpump breaks…..you’ll be pissed. I know….those have all happened to me….and thats only the half of why I’m the angry owner.
It is with the pleasure of a new parent that I’d like to announce that the service area of the Dharma Wheels Cyclery South has had its first custom bicycle assembled in house. I can just hear the high fives being slapped as you read this.
Not a bad way to start off the business – wouldn’t you say.
Despite a windy and cold projection for this weekends forecast, there were jobs to do and work to be done down south. Excellent work was done. The shop area was touched up, organized, and a new overhead light was installed for maximum visibility for repair/assembly bikes.
MrsDrE worked on a hospitality sign for our kitchen/consultation/drinking room.
She also painted the Parlor, or lounge, or family room as it were. Me….I went for a ride. Of course I forgot my knickers and leggings…..or pantaloons if you will, but I merely strapped on my knee pads for warmth on the legs and got down to the business of riding.
You should all know that we took our cat, Blackie, on the trip, and she was slightly disappointed that there were no mice to exterminate during our stay.
And with that, I’ll share with you all some pictures from some wonderful people who have supported the shop all the way from the east coast, riding on Knolly bikes. Thanks for the great pics and I’m glad your enjoying the bikes.
Its national aids/hiv awareness day. Take a moment and be aware. Then maybe go outside and look at the bleak future that is much of America’s whiny, over-privlidged youth. Then look at this young man. I hope he decides to be a dentist. For those of you who read this who need some tightening up….this is how you deliver to earn trust.
Back to bikes next entry.
