Summer is here in the Rocky Mountains and you know what that means, right? Deer Valley opens this weekend. The Canyons as well.
And you can bet Doug will be there.

Working, I bet.

Here is another Park City pic from a hard working man on a Moots Single Speed.
Matt from WAG.

Chris send in this pic from further up the same trail.

Further east, in Colorado, Ride the Rockies is happening. Here is an account of day 1.
Also in Colorado, they’ve been shoveling late season snow in Leadville for the trail race.

Also in CO, the annual “Drag Race” happened last weekend.

Funny stuff right there.
My friends in AZ sent me a wonderful pic of a training ride on Route 66.

And speaking of Route 66, check out this custom paint on a Coconino.

I’ve got a 95 Schwinn with the same color scheme at my brothers house in Detroit.
Speaking of Michigan, there was quite a party up north last weekend….I was sent this pic, which I love because of the Stein Erikson sign. As some of you may know, I used to race for Stein Sport during my early time here in Utah. And in Stein’s earlier times, he was the director of skiing at Boyne in MI.
And just in case you were wondering, Stein is happy, healthy and enjoying his eighth decade nicely.

A Michigan friend of mine sent me this retro-style pic. I remember a few years long long ago when people would do anything to remove things that said Shimano from their bicycles. This was one of the options.

In fun news, the Marin museum of bicycling has opened. Link HERE.

I’ll close the pics with a beautiful pic of Utah.

In shop news, things are busy. Customs ordered in the winter are arriving….wheels as well. We’ve got some adaptive bicycles in the build cue and fork/shock service is at the next day or two level (assuming we have the rebuild kits in stock). Hope everybody is riding and smiling.

Its been brought to my attention that Ronnie Gilbert (of the Weavers) has merged with the universe.

You can also read about it HERE.
Her voice will be missed, and her spirit will live on.
Lets shimmy on into cycling things – shall we?
Million time World Champion Greg Minnaar has won another race…with ENVE DH rims – just sayin’.

Here is a pic from Big Al (of Big Al’s bike Heaven) in Crested Butte – where the trails are opening up nicely.

I’d like to announce and endorse Bar Fly Bags (here).
Locally designed and fabricated bags from a rider who loves bicycles.
As you can imagine, this concept is near and dear to my heart because that is exactly what Dharma Wheels is.
Anyway, check out the link and buy some bags.

Here is a beautiful picture of Southern Utah.

And Zion National Park

And a magical pic of the Grand Canyon in AZ.

Speaking of magic and AZ, here is my boy Lance putting the hurt on the big dogs.

Speaking of AZ, lets take a look at some custom paint and steelwork from our friends at Coconino Cycles.

Thats about it for this week. Go out and ride your bike. Support your local bike shop. Support you non-local bike shop.
